NEW! Speaker Series Kick-off Event – Monday, October 7th, 7:00 PM, TBS Library
All of us experience stress in our daily lives; some of us are anxious. Knowing the difference between healthy amounts of stress and unhealthy anxiety is important to our students’ well-being. Please join Dr Alicia Farrell, our guest speaker on October 7, 2019, 7:00 PM, in the TBS Library, for a candid discussion on Anxiety vs. Stress.

Please join us before the program at 6:30 PM for coffee and light snacks (provided by the PTO), followed by Dr. Farrell’s  talk from 7:00-8:00PM, and a concluding 30-minute Q&A panel with Dr. Farrell, Dr. Boudreau and Principal Duffy.  No registration required.
See you there!

Attn: Students AND Parents –  the TBS Yearbook Club Needs You and Your Photos!

How the Club Works:
This year, Yearbook Club will be offered as an after-school activity in two sessions, September through December, and January through May, with a commitment for the full year. It is open to both 5th and 6th grade students with the primary purpose to produce and publish the TBS yearbook.  The club meets on Tuesday afternoons and it is never too late to join!

The Benefits of Yearbook Club For Students:
Yearbook Club is a great opportunity for students to meet new friends, express themselves creatively, and make a valuable contribution to school that results in a keepsake book full of photos and special memories of the year. Along with helping put together the yearbook, students will learn 4 key lessons:
1. Proper camera use and technique
2. How to take better photographs
3. How to plan and execute a photo opportunity
4. How to edit images and design layout pages

The Benefits of Yearbook Club For Parents:
For participating parents, Yearbook Club is a fantastic way to spend quality time with your child at school, while getting an insider’s glimpse of TBS through unique photo opportunities.  Your cell phone can take great pictures – and if you have a digital camera, even better!
If you wish to volunteer for a photo opp, submit photos or donate a digital camera, please refer to the contact information in the attached Yearbook Club form.  We’re also looking for a donation of one or more gently used digital cameras for other parent volunteer photographers.
Please see the attached form for more details.  We hope to see you behind the lens!

Reminder: Please Update Your Student’s Classroom on Konstella ASAP
This year, not only will the TBS PTO be utilizing Konstella for all of its communications, but we will be encouraging Room Parents to utilize it for individual classroom parties and organization.  Please update your account!

If you already have a Konstella account from RBS or PGS, you must register for TBS by using the same link: https://www.konstella.com/cd/QrGgH. You will be asked to enter your email address. You can then log into Konstella or open the app and you will see TBS added to your list of schools.

If you are a returning 6th grade TBS family, you can log in as normal, and access all applicable schools for your students. You’ll need to update your child(ren’s) classroom(s) for this school year quickly by doing the following:

  • Once logged in, click on your name in the upper left-hand corner.
  • A drop-down menu will appear.  Click on “Your Children.”
  • A window will open giving you the option to “change classroom,” “join a classroom,” and “add child”. Click on all that apply and follow prompts to add or change information.

A drop-down list will appear with all classrooms by teacher. Select classroom and click SAVE.
