What did the PTO support this past school year?
All TBS afterschool activities are planned through the VP Activities chairs. Through your child’s program support, the instructors give back a portion of the programs’ funds to the PTO. Thank you to those who took an opportunity to try a program, or register for a seasonal favorite – we hope all enjoyed the selection activities that were offered this school year!
As this year comes to a close, the PTO would like to thank all the volunteers who helped us support TBS this year. PTO support focused on: school pictures, teacher back to school disbursements, teacher appreciation holiday and spring luncheons, December book fair, spring musical, 5th grade field day, 6th grade end of year social, yearbook club, Roaring Brook Nature Center in-house science supplement program, and the new ‘Battle of the Books’ reading program. We have had a fantastic year, and have been able to support the following thanks to our volunteers, and our generous One & Done donations collected – that totaled just over $11,000 this year!!!
Below is an approximate end-of-year report on our spending:
- Teacher Stipends (back to school): $4,000
- Roaring Brook Nature Center :$2,300
- Two water fountain/bottle fill station coolers: $2,000
- Back to school step up day supplies: $1,700
- Staff Appreciation luncheons: $1,100 (funded by one & done and also donation $680 designated to this)
- Battle of the Books: $700
- Grounds and garden: $50
Thank you again for your support – and we wish you all a relaxing summer!
